A list entitled Recapitulation shows distances between forts on the route, Sioux City, St. Joseph and St. Louis. Manuscript note inside front cover states, "I got this book amongst the papers of Capt Owen - C.S., US[A or N], who died in Phil[adelphia] in 1896. I got it Oct 26/96 [signed], Th. Donaldson."
